Parade Banners
These banners were a full shop project. The director, James Brennan, gave me what each banner should represent, how large they should be and how many people would carry them. I designed them. And then my apprentice and I went searching for fabrics to create them. My apprentice did the major part of the build of the physical banners and their poles. I did the lettering and art layouts - creating a stencil for the theatre banner and free-handing the drawing of the mayor candidate. Everyone in the prop shop spent some time painting the banners with fabric paints.
