Murder Scissors

$0.00

The scissors were built according to my instructions from my props master and with his supplies. I had never played with any type of casting and molding before.

We bought 2 pairs of large scissors, one to be welded in place and attached to a magnet so it would attach to the actor’s back rig during a quick switcheroo via hidden door in the bookcase. The other pair I took to create the plaster mold of scissors for the pair the actress would stab him with.

I then filled each side of the mold with a layer of latex (originally bought for something else), then inserted coat hanger wire what was shaped to fit the mold, then covered it with more latex. Once set, I would pull out the halves, trim them, and paint them. Because the latex was so soft, they only lasted 3-4 performances so I made multiples.
